Bridge Northumberland is an exciting employability project operating throughout Northumberland, funded by The European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities Programme. Northumberland County Council and six voluntary and community sector delivery partners are working in partnership, in delivering the programme and supporting long-term unemployed people into a positive outcome, including employment, education and training. Bridge Northumberland provides holistic needs-led support for service users aged 16+ who are furthest from the labour market.

We are seeking a Communications and Marketing Officer to work with the Partnership and Performance Team, and other staff and partners.

The role will develop and co-ordinate the marketing, information and communication function of Bridge Northumberland, working with team members and the partnership board to ensure a high level of communication is delivered through a range of media in order to raise the profile of Bridge Northumberland across all stakeholders. We are looking for someone with great ideas, enthusiasm and vision to raise the profile of the Bridge Northumberland, using a range of media, including press releases, social media and e bulletins. The successful candidate will produce and support the distribution of a range of promotional material and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders understand the programme. It is important the successful candidate can work co-operatively and productively with Bridge partners and staff.
