The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of four strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, Public Health and Environment. Working in a small team to effectively target anti-social behaviour environmental enforcement across the borough, working in partnership with other agencies and partners and where necessary to represent the Council at court.

The successful candidates will be expected to patrol hotspots across the borough investigating incidents of Fly Tipping, Dog Fouling, Littering, issuing Fixed penalty notices, Penalty Charge Notices, as well as Community Protection warnings and notices and to assist in the reduction of Anti-Social behaviour under the direction of the Community Safety Groups.

The successful applicants will be expected to have experience of various legislation including; Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005, Environmental Protection Act 1990, and well as an understanding of Public Space Protection orders, the use of CCTV for enforcement and have proven ability in an Enforcement capacity.

Other duties include:
Analyse CCTV footage and other evidence in order to build an enforcement case.
Ability to influence, encourage and promote behaviour change
Attend court to act as a professional witness and give evidence in court.

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic person with proven track records of enforcement, with good organisational skills. The successful candidate will have good written and oral communications skills and have the ability to develop good working relationships both internally and externally with others in order to achieve positive outcomes.
