JOB DESCRIPTION: The OneCall Service provides assisted living solutions, enabling individuals to live independently within their own home making a real difference to people’s lives, not only for those using the service, but also to their families and loved ones.
As an OneCall Apprentice you will be helping our clients maintain independent living within their own homes. The role will involve assisting in the delivery of the 24 hour calls handling and providing response and personal care services offered to clients connected to OneCall. We are looking for team members who are compassionate, supportive and have the drive and determination to do the very best for OneCall’s clients. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Good Communication Skills
• Basic IT Skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Articulate and able to converse confidently in a pleasant and professional manner.
• A desire to work in social care and make a positive difference to the lives of others
• Full Driving License and access to a motor vehicle - due to the role requiring travel between venues
• Flexibility to work shifts, 7 days a week, daytime and evening, 365 days a year. An allowance will be paid once you are working the full rota – See Job Description for details of rota pattern.

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend College and work towards completion of an Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship Qualification which will also give you a Level 2 Diploma in Care. It is a great opportunity to gain work experience, valuable skills and knowledge whilst working towards a recognised qualification. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 15 MONTHS

SALARY
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
