Hopefields Education CIC are a non-profit organisation located in the Tees Valley, dedicated to the education of young people with additional needs. Hopefields are an ambitious and expanding company, keen to build on our strong track record of transforming the education and life chances for children and young people across Teesside. Key to this is a committed and passionate staff team who always give their best; who are willing to go above and beyond to secure hopeful futures for young people and families.

The staff team at Hopefields is small and revolutionary. All are valued and respected members of our community, with a significant collaborative voice in shaping the services for young people. If you share the ethos of our company, this is an amazing opportunity to work with a team of supportive, experienced and talented individuals, who take a real interest in education, pedagogy and self-improvement.

Candidates applying for this position would have experience of working with, facilitating the education of, and supporting vulnerable young people. You will be educating young people aged 11 - 25 who have additional and complex needs, producing and delivering packages of education and support in small group settings and within the classroom environment.

An interest in professional development is paramount, as is an understanding of Trauma Informed Practice and psychology. A qualification in HLTA/teaching is not necessary, as training can be provided. Equally, this role could suit a graduate who is seeking employment in a specialist provision.

Candidates should be enthusiastic and flexible, with excellent communication and organisational skills. Contributing positively to the work of Hopefields is vital, as is the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

The position is open to flexible working. Hopefields are specifically seeking the right person, and so hours/days can be negotiated if required.

Hopefields wish to attract people to work with us and share our ambition to actively serve the local community of Teesside. The position is one you could make your own, and so a creative individual with a solid educational grounding and good general knowledge would be advantageous.

If you believe you have what it takes, we would be interested to hear from you. Visits can be made prior to application, or contact Mrs Susan Johnson, Office Manager and PA on tel. 01642 205233 for an informal conversation regarding the post.

Please complete the online application form provided by the closing date as we do not accept CVs.

Hopefields are committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before appointments are confirmed. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check.
