We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic people to join us on an apprenticeship programme. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and highly motivated Apprentice Wet Room Installer to work within the Construction & Facility Services department based at Cowpen Depot for Stockton Borough Council

JOB DESCRIPTION: You will be an integral part of our disabled adaptations team by working with colleagues to deliver adaptations whilst developing your skills and knowledge throughout your apprenticeship.

You will also be trained in other construction trade elements such as bricklaying, plastering, tiling, joinery etc. You will also work with our planned maintenance and project teams to gain a greater understanding of the construction trade and assist you developing your knowledge.

Construction Facility Services is responsible for the delivery of the planned, reactive & cyclical projects across the authority and its partners
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
• Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade C/4 or above / Functional Skills)
Or
An ability to achieve Level 2 qualification in English & Maths – Initial Assessment required before job offer.
• Attention to Detail
• Experience working as part of a team – could be in education, sporting, work or social setting
• Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude
• Logical and methodical approach to analysing and solving problems

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work, to attend College and work towards completion of a Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician – Level 3 apprenticeship qualification. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 51 MONTHS Depending on prior learning

SALARY
• Under 18 years old, £4.62per hour, £8,913per year
• 18 to 20 years old, £6.56per hour, £12,656per year
• 21 to 22 years old, £8.36per hour, £16,128per year
• 23 years and over, £8.91per hour, £17,189per year
