An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Services Division of the Operations and Regulatory Services Directorate, as a Market Inspector based at Newcastle Grainger Market.

Typical duties within this post will encompass responsibility for control onsite management and patrolling of Newcastle Markets, Monday to Sunday, including upkeep of all market records.

You should be reliable and have a strong commitment to high standards of service and customer care.
There is a responsibility to organise and supervise staff and resources on a day to day basis, ensuring the cleanliness, security and safety of the building is maintained in accordance with appropriate standards and procedures.

You must be motivated, hardworking and able to forge positive relationships with traders, colleagues and all visitors to the Market. It’s essential you have confidence to enforce the Newcastle Market rules, regulations, lease covenants and their byelaws.
