You will manage a front-line team, working alongside existing Team Leaders and providing support to the Operational Managers. The role includes responsibility for Health and Safety and safe working practices in respect of the service. You will be a role model to the team and will also be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills in this environment.

The successful candidates should be able to display excellent leadership, communication and customer care skills, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high quality customer focused environmental services; providing clean, safe and tidy places to an agreed standard within all parts of the borough to ensure North Tyneside is a place in which people want to work, live and visit.

The posts will predominantly be responsible for the day to day delivery of grounds maintenance services but may be required to cover across different areas of the Street Environment Service including Street Cleansing, Waste Collection, Neighbourhood Delivery, and Parks & Allotments.

You will be involved in a wide range of duties therefore you must be able to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines.

If you have the appropriate skills and have existing Team Leader experience and want to make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
