If you share the ethos of Redcar and Cleveland’s Children and Families Directorate, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

Early Help Services in Redcar and Cleveland work in partnership with parents and other agencies to deliver high quality services to improve outcomes for all children and their families. The following post offers an exciting opportunity for dynamic individuals to join our integrated team to support families to access the services they need.

We are looking for a Family Hub Assistant to work as part of a Family Hub Team providing day to day administrative support to the family hub teams, including taking minutes of meetings and routine clerical duties such as emailing, photocopying and filing. The role will include reception duties across the area, including greeting and signposting visitors to relevant professionals, services and activities; and responding to enquires via telephone, social media and face to face from parents / carers, colleagues and outside agencies. The post holder will be responsible for accurately maintaining up to date records through the collation and data entry of registration details and attendance information onto management information systems and databases. The role is also responsible for routine health and safety tasks and checks, contributing to audits and risk assessments and handling petty cash. Engaging families into the family hubs, supporting health clinics and supporting parents into training and employment are also part of this diverse role.

The successful candidate will have good communication skills, ability to work in a busy office and work as part of a team. They will hold a NVQ level 3 in business administration or community development. They will ideally have some experience of working with children and families but this is not essential.
