We are currently looking for experienced social workers to Join our Safe and Supported Teams undertaking long term work with our children and young people.

If you are passionate about children and young people getting the right help at the right time, about listening to their voice, and about working in partnership with families and wider networks, then we would like to hear from you.

You will be a qualified social worker with experience in statutory social work in one or more of the following areas: child in need plans, child protection assessments and plans, and children in the care of the local authority. You will have experience of working in partnership – with children, their family and wider networks, and professional colleagues across education, health, police and the voluntary sector.

The practice model used in North Tyneside is Signs of Safety, and you will be supported in developing and using this approach. We are committed to supporting our social workers, and you will receive regular high quality reflective supervision and management oversight of the important work that you do. We encourage peer support from your team, you will have access to regular group supervision, and a team of Advanced Social Work Practitioners who support your development and case work.

In North Tyneside you will have professional development opportunities through a range of learning including practice educator training and post qualifying awards. It is important that you have excellent written skills, and are proficient in using IT. We will provide you with devices and equipment that promotes flexibility in how you work, and training in LCS, our electronic child record system.

You will be appointed to Grade 8 or 9 depending on your qualifications and experience.
Grade 8 - £27,741 - £31,346 pa
Grade 9 - £32,234 - £35,745 pa
