Required for September 2021

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Park View School in their brand new purpose built Centre in Jarrow. The Centre opened in April 2019. The Centre caters for students from South Tyneside who have been identified by their parent schools as vocational learners and have identified social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

The Centre offers Welding Skills, Engineering, Health and Safety Training, Vehicle Mechanics and Construction Skills.

You will teach the Construction programme taking responsibility for the experience of all learners enrolled. Ensure the curriculum is aligned to awarding body requirements and that teaching, learning and assessment strategies used promote a high quality learning experience and facilitate learner progress leading to high levels of retention, achievement and progression.

You will liaise under the guidance of the Head of Centre with local businesses/enterprises and post-16 providers to ensure the skills being taught are relevant to the local labour demand and promote positive pathways into further training and employment.

For an informal discussion about this post, please contact Billy Bell, Head of Service, Park View School, wbell@parkview-school.co.uk 07495127255.
