We are looking to recruit an experienced dynamic Team Manager/AMHP Lead to support our AMHP team and develop our AMHP service. If you are able to inspire, motivate and have a driven personality then this role is for you. The role is full time, working 8:30 - 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Currently, based in Bedlington however due to COVID, most staff continue to work from home. You must have an up to date AMHP registration and be practicing, demonstrate that your professional Social Work England registration and CPD, to include AMHP training is up to date. Salary is commensurate with the responsibilities of the post, band 10 £42821 - £46845
We are in the process of transforming Adult Social Care in Northumberland as part of the 10 year NHS Transforming Mental Health. This is a really exciting time and opportunity for the right person to be part our transformation programme. You will work as an Approved Mental Health Professional (Team Manager/Lead) for Northumberland. You will participate and maintain the AMHP rota. You will be leading the AMHP team in the context of ensuring the local authority maintain its statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act and will be instrumental in developing policies and procedures in line with the Mental Health Act.
Your role will include supervision of the AMHP staff, ensuring they meet the AMHP competency framework and keep up to date with all new guidance/trends in accordance with the Mental Health Act. You will report to the Operations Manager for Mental Health and Associated Services and be involved in the continuning developments of mental health services in the county.

The salary is £42,821 - 46,845
