The Houghall Campus, on the outskirts of the City of Durham, is the leading provider of land based courses in the region and includes a beautiful 500 acre estate. It has recently had a £12.75m redevelopment which has brought some market-leading specialist facilities to the Campus. The Technical Academy is a 30,000 sq. ft. purpose-built facility providing training in a range of in-demand construction trades.

Report Writer & Data Analyst - 37 hours per week

To provide technical support for the College’s information systems and intranet, developing reports, review, create and update existing reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, ensuring the information is accurate and relevant to business needs, you will develop and maintain data exchanges (import and exports) between the College’s information systems and external entities (such as the college website, VLE, safeguarding, local authority careers and initial assessment system).

You should hold or currently be working towards an HND or first degree in a recognised IT/IS subject, alongside this proven experience of using analytical techniques in a development environment and experience of working with relational databases is essential to this job role. Knowledge of writing T-SQL queries, views and stored procedures is desirable, also experience of Windows-based scripting for example with Powershell.
