Real Estate/Property Lawyer – Commercial & Development, Legal Services; Grade 10 – full time, 37 hours per week - Permanent

We wish to recruit a flexible, highly skilled Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive to join our Commercial & Development Legal Team based within our Lexcel accredited Legal Services Department. It is essential that you have experience of and a genuine enthusiasm for high-level property law and an excellent approach to public service and client care. Experience of, or a willingness to develop knowledge in, planning and highways matters is desirable, but not essential. Practising lawyers from both the public and private sector are encouraged to apply.
You will provide legal advice, support and representation in relation to all of the Authority’s property matters, carrying a varied caseload ranging from routine property transactions and landlord and tenant matters through to complex strategic developments. Having full conduct of your own matters, you will be expected progress those to a successful and timely conclusion with minimal supervision.
We have a strong culture of teamwork within the Department and you may be required to undertake work in related areas covered by the team according to demand. A degree of flexibility is, therefore, essential. You will also be expected to provide support and guidance to other members of the team.
