Grade 9 - £40,876 - £44,863 per annum,
plus payment of an Essential Car User Allowance of £1239 per annum and 2% Recruitment and Retention Allowance.

Together for Children works on behalf of Sunderland City Council to deliver children’s services in the city, which means that local authority continuous service terms and conditions apply. We are looking to appoint a Assistant Team Managers within our Locality social work teams.

You will have experience of undertaking assessments in Child in Need, Child Protection, Cared for Children, and Care proceedings. There will be an expectation that you will be creative and experienced in gaining the child’s views through good direct work. You will be expected to work alongside the Team Manager to support staff to provide a good quality service to families, and work collaboratively with partner agencies to provide a high level of support and intervention in response to assessed need. You will also hold a small complex caseload.

You will join a small social work team and benefit from a high level of support and guidance from a Team Manager. Together for Children prides itself on a visible senior management team who promote a nurturing, learning environment with high support and high challenge.
