In recent years, Learning & Skills has undergone positive transformational changes to move it closer to becoming an outstanding training provider. The service is the first Adult Education ever in the Country to secure the five awards of Matrix Standard, Investors in Volunteering, Investors in Careers, Better Health at Work and Investors in People.
We are seeking to appoint an Engagement & Development Worker to lead on the development of the Waverley Project which is based on a 6.5 acre allotment in Hartlepool. The project works with the local community to enhance the prospects for local residents across a range of themes including Health & Wellbeing, Education, Food Poverty, Community Development and Employment.
The post holder will work with the local community and other key stakeholders such as Voluntary & Community Sector Organisations to create and deliver social action projects to address challenges such as unemployment, social isolation and food poverty. The post holder will also undertake community engagement to widen participation on the Waverley Site and develop new partnerships to support the sustainability of the Waverley Project.
