This is an exciting time to join the Highways and Engineering service at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, as we are currently expanding the team to strengthen our strategic and technical capacity, and to invest for the future.

You will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplined team of professional highways and engineering staff, delivering an increasing range of services and ambitious projects.

Areas of responsibility include, highways maintenance – planned and reactive, structures and coastal defence, highway design, parking policy, road and traffic safety, RASWA, flooding and drainage, street lighting, highway asset management, strategic local transport policy, public rights of way, highway development, civil engineering operations and delivery, winter maintenance and emergency response.
