An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Skills Development Coach (Digital) who is passionate about Digital technology and the digital sector, to work within the department of Computing and Digital. Sunderland College have recently announced that we will be implementing World-class facilities that will deliver ‘unparalleled learning opportunities’ for North East students are set to move forward, after a successful £3m bid to Government. This will include transformation of a space within its Bede Campus. The 1920s Bede Building will see its old hall undergo a complete refurbishment, with the inclusion of a sophisticated, 360 degree immersive visualisation ‘dome’ created within it, that will allow students to train in a number of virtual reality environments as well as further developments within Bede campus.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for an ambitious individual with a real passion for developing the technical and employability skills of our students across all of our Digital courses. The post holder will work closely with curriculum teachers to ensure that our students have outstanding learning opportunities and are work ready as well as meeting and talking to employers from across the region.

This is an ideal opportunity for those with industry knowledge and experience who can support learners through planning and delivering innovative individual and group led activities as well as through significant and meaningful employer related activity.
