Are you looking for an opportunity to gain a level 3 accounting qualification whilst gaining valuable work experience in local government Finance? North Tyneside Council are offering a new and exciting opportunity for a finance apprentice to join their Strategic Finance Team. You will work primarily as part of the finance team supporting the Housing Property and Construction service undertaking a range of finance-related tasks from journal processing to systems support and budget monitoring-related tasks. You will also be given the opportunity to be involved with the work of the wider finance team covering Budget Planning, Treasury Management and Trading Company activity

You must have or expect to achieve 2 GCSE’s including Maths and English Language and possess good literacy and numeracy skills. You should also be able to manage your time effectively and work as part of a team.

This apprenticeship is fixed term for 36 months.
