We are seeking to appoint a Social Worker who is a qualified Best Interests Assessor (BIA) and who is willing to convert to the Approved Mental Capacity Professional (AMCP) role under LPS ready for implementation in April 2022. The Post will be Band 10 with a candidate who has been through ASYE and is post progressed.

The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process and a solid grounding in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Human Rights Act, together with the ability to apply their skills in practice and promote good practice in safeguarding adults. An understanding of the forthcoming Liberty Protection Safeguards AMCP role would be an advantage.
