Aycliffe Secure Centre cares for young people who are sentenced, remanded or cared for under a secure accommodation order as directed by the courts. The Role
Responsibilities include working to the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, implementing high quality care for young people with complex needs. The post holder will provide leadership to the team, alongside tasks of supervision, appraisal, timetabling, some sickness absence Management, identifying training needs, quality assurance of work and deputise for the manager in their absence. Take responsibility for out of hours management of the home during the night time hours supported by senior manager on back up duty.

Useful information
You will work an average of 37 hours per week, within a designated shift pattern between 9.00pm – 7.30am.There is a requirement to work bank holidays, and on a weekends to provide management cover within the centre. There may also be some normal office hours in the work for training, development and orientation.
