Job Overview

Are you looking for an excellent springboard to start your Local Authority career in South Tyneside Council; whilst at the same time gaining knowledge and competencies, leading to a nationally accredited Level 3 apprenticeship qualification and possible future career progression? If the answer is yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion to learn a fast-paced administrative role within our Adults and Integrated Care Service.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with the right drive and ambition to learn to provide Learning and Development Support within the Service Improvement Team. We are a highly motivated team and pride ourselves on developing and delivering high quality learning and development opportunities for new and current employees.

The successful applicant will share our enthusiasm, contributing to and influencing improved performance at an individual, team and service level. As well as being part of a team, you must have the confidence and discipline to work on your own initiative, prioritise your workload and manage a range of time sensitive administration tasks.

Main Duties of the Job

Carrying your own portfolio of work, with a keen focus on exceptional administration duties, events planning and management, alongside being instrumental in helping to deliver the Moving Forward Together Organisational Development and Workforce Development Strategy.

The role will include assisting with the management of the Learning and Development calendar and communicating course requirements with trainers, learners and external suppliers, however you will also have the opportunity to assist in the design, development and implementation of in-house training as required.
