Further Information
We are The Reablement Service, a community-based rehabilitation service, supporting people in their own homes across the borough of North Tyneside.

Our main priority for this job role is to find people with right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own! We are seeking to recruit some new support workers; people with the right values and behaviours to work in the community to support people in their own homes – could this be you?

If you have previous experience across the social care field – we would be happy to work with you to build on this experience within our service.

Above all we want someone that shares our values. There are:

• A commitment to quality and being the best, we can
• Treating people with compassion
• Showing dignity and respect to the people you are working with
• Having trust and respect for members of our team

The duties are varied, and no two days are the same. Our people are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such. However, as a general guide, your duties may include some support with personal care needs and individualised support for people to regain independence within their own home, following an illness/health need or injury.

It is short time limited intervention of intensive activity to promote people’s independence.
It involves, goal setting, a personalised approach with involvement from the person and their family. It is a service that builds on what a person can do already and support them to regain skills and build confidence.
