We are seeking a benefits officer to work as part of our Benefits Team, providing a customer focused service to the residents of Hartlepool. This includes dealing with all aspects of verification and assessment of claims for Housing Benefit, Local Council Tax Support and Free School Meals, responding to enquiries, and processing of data.
The successful candidate will have current or recent experience of working in a benefits related field, the ability to work to deadlines and strong interpersonal skills.
The post reports direct to a Principal Benefits Officer within the team.
