Salary: £18,562 p.a. Trade Rate Roofer plus 50% Interim Operational Allowance (I.O.A.) of £9,281 p.a. and potential other allowances – £27,843 p.a. please contact Lead Officer for further information.
Permanent - 1 x 37 Hours Post – plus 2 hours per week (stand down leave will apply – for further clarification of this please contact the Lead Officer). Generous holidays and pension scheme apply to this post.
A position has arisen for a Roofer located at Meadowfield Depot or another location to be agreed within County Durham, working within Building and Facilities Maintenance, Repairs and Maintenance Team.
The post holder will carry out Roofing duties as required by the Roofing, Painting and Flooring Manager and relevant supervisory staff within the Repairs and Maintenance Service. The role also involves some multi-skilling and applicants with experience of general building skills will be at an advantage.
The candidate must be educated to a minimum NVQ Level 2 in a Roofing related discipline and have a trade related apprenticeship or equivalent. The successful candidate must have experience of working at a similar level within a commercial environment.
The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
Due to the requirement to potentially drive a vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
