Further Information
We are seeking to appoint a Department Technician to our Design Technology Curriculum area. Key duties of this role are to provide practical support to members of the teaching staff in the department. This includes the preparation of equipment and resources to enable students to carry out their activities, as well as supporting staff during practical lessons when required. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to learn, flexible and enjoy working with young people aged 13-18.

Candidates should have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. An interest in Design Technology alongside the ability to work carefully and safely are essential. Training in the use of school equipment will be provided, therefore previous experience using department equipment is not considered to be an essential requirement for appointment to this role.

This post is permanent, 37 hours per week, term time only over 193 days.
