Gateshead Council LearningSkills are recruiting for a Telemarketing Advisor to join the Business Development Team. This is a telemarketing sales role and you will be responsible for contacting North East employers to promote the business benefits of apprenticeships. You will be working towards challenging targets of creating sales leads for our apprenticeship officers.
You will be experienced in business to business telemarketing, have experience of telesales or working in a call centre environment. You will have effective written and oral communication skills, excellent ICT skills as well as a thirst for learning new things. You will be able to meet challenging targets, and work as part of a team, with the confidence to speak to a wide variety of organisations from small to large, and be able to engage with managers and directors while being professional and giving excellent customer service at all times. Experience of using Microsoft Office packages and CRM/Database systems is also essential.
You must have a minimum of 3 GCSE’s Grace C or above (Grade 4 or equivalent) including Maths and English.
This role is very rewarding as you will be creating apprenticeships that can change the lives of our residents. The business development team are very successful at engaging with employers across the North East and create over 350 jobs a year. As the economy grows more and more businesses are turning to apprenticeships to build the skills they need.
