Then an exciting opportunity exists for you at North Tyneside Council: We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced person to help provide clean, safe and tidy places to an agreed standard within all parts of the borough to ensure a place which people want to work, live and visit.
You will be required to maintain the Council’s environmental standards on a day to day basis in accordance with best practice and health and safety requirements. You will be required to engage with residents, the local community and other service users. You will need to be able to work independently and use your own initiative. You will work proactively with all members of the wider team including external agencies.
The post requires a high level of physical skill associated with walking, the use of grounds maintenance and cleansing equipment and vehicles. The successful candidate will spend most of their time outdoors, working in estates across the borough.
