Applicants are invited to apply for the above permanent vacancy based within the Gateway Contact Centre.

The Advice and Information Response Officers (AIRO) act as the first point of contact for anyone wanting to access Adult and Childrens Social Care in North Tyneside, responding to contacts made by various channels including telephone, e-mail and web portal from the general public as well as professionals from other organisations.

The role includes offering advice, information and support around universal services as well taking referrals when appropriate.

If you would like to join our team you should have experience of working in a fast-paced customer services environment, have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Some Knowledge of Adult and/or Childrens Care Legislation would be expected.

You should be confident in being able to unpick complex issues and be able to confidently communicate with all the service user groups covered.

Please be advised that this position will require an Enhanced check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
