Salary: Trade Rate Joiner £18562 per annum plus 50% Interim Operational Allowance of £9281 and potential other allowances – £27843 per annum.
Permanent - 1 x 37 Hours Post – plus 2 hours per week (stand down leave will apply, 12 days per year in addition to holiday entitlement. For further clarification of this please contact the Lead Officer)
A position has arisen for a Joiner located at Meadowfield Depot or another location to be agreed within County Durham, working within Building and Facilities Maintenance, Repairs and Maintenance Team.
The post holder will carry out Joinery duties as required by the Responsive Repairs and Minor Works Manager and the Minor Works Foreman within the Repairs and Maintenance Service. The role also involves some multi-skilling and applicants with experience of glazing, plastering, tiling and general building skills will be at an advantage.
The candidate must be educated to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in a Joinery discipline and have a trade related apprenticeship or equivalent. The successful candidate must have experience of working at a similar level within a commercial environment.
Due to the requirement to potentially drive a vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
