JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for someone who wants to start a new career or take their career to the next level. Someone with a passion and drive to support our young people to achieve, with creativity and a drive to solving problems!

Youth Direction provide services to young people who have a wide variety of support needs, across a wide range of settings. Within Youth Direction Careers+ we focus on supporting, encouraging and enabling young people to make the most of their lives through succeeding in learning at school and beyond. We hold IAG delivery contracts with a number of schools and colleges throughout the North East, and support Targeted and vulnerable young people in Stockton schools and through their transitions to college, training, Apprenticeships, university and work.

If successful, we will provide you with intensive practice development within Youth Direction working alongside our Participation Advisers and Careers Advisers in mainstream and special schools, in colleges and other learning providers, and with young people who have become disengaged from learning, all whilst working towards a formal qualification (see below)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below and as stated in the personal statement. Please address in your application how you meet the following:

• Level 3 qualification (e.g. A-levels / BTEC)
• Experience of team working and working with members of the public
• Organisational and interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills both written and oral
• Good IT skills including the use of Word, Excel, Outlook
• Adaptable and flexible approach

APPRENTICESHIP QUALIFICATION: You will be given appropriate paid time off work for your studies, to work towards completion of a Career Development Professional – Level 6 Apprenticeship. PLEASE NOTE: You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in the same or similar subject.

APPRENTICESHIP BENEFITS: We offer an excellent benefits package for apprentices. You will be given a fixed term contract allowing you sufficient time to complete your apprenticeship qualification (see below), with the potential to secure a longer-term position to grow within the organisation. We will provide you with a dedicated Mentor to support you during your apprenticeship and you will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and additional learning and development opportunities.

APPRENTICESHIP DURATION: 24 MONTHS

SALARY
• £9.62per hour, £18,562per year
