We are looking to appoint a flexible, enthusiastic and reliable Facility Supervisor to work in a friendly, rewarding environment.
Caretaking experience in a school would be an advantage. Good communication skills are essential and DIY skills are desirable.
Proposed working hours:
• Monday – Thursday 6.00am-10.15am and 2.45pm-6.00pm
• Friday 6.00am – 9.45am and 2.45pm-6.00pm
Grange is a vibrant first school located in Gosforth and serves a diverse community. We are looking for a Facility Supervisor to ensure we maintain high standards of cleanliness and repairs across our school site.
You will be responsible for the security of the premises, setting alarms, general health and safety issues relating to the building, as well as a range of porterage duties. There will also be a responsibility for the supervision of cleaning staff. It is essential that you are capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting and carrying of equipment, materials and furniture and are able to climb ladders.
You will be expected to be able to deal with varying workloads and the cleaning of a defined area equating to 10 hours per week.
There will need to be a degree of flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar e.g. parents’ evenings, governing body meetings, Christmas and summer fairs etc. which will usually be arranged at the start of the academic year. You will be expected to be available to undertake lettings for the school when required.
