Resources and Digital Directorate operates at the very core of the Council's operations, working with services to direct financial resources to deliver the Council priorities.

Resources and Digital includes the Council's Internal Audit and Risk Service, providing Internal Audit Services to the Council, it’s associated Trading Companies, The Gateshead Housing Company and Northumbria Police. The Service is also responsible for delivering the Council’s Corporate Risk and Corporate Fraud functions.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Auditor to join the Service. The position is essential to maintaining the provision of the Service’s high performing professional delivery of internal audit, risk and corporate fraud functions whilst working in a dynamic and challenging environment.

By completing audit reviews, the post holder will help protect the Councils assets, ensure compliance with internal procedures and promote good governance practices. They will:
• Provide advice and relevant, accurate and timely information and reports.
• Assist in the delivery of the audit plan.
• Ensure assets and resources are accounted for properly and safeguarded from loss

Grade F Qualifications: You should be AAT or IIA qualified or equivalent and have knowledge and Knowledge and experience of internal audit.

Grade G you should have 3 years satisfactory post qualification experience with relevant CPD accreditation.
