Advanced Practitioner for Exploitation Team
This is an exciting time to join the Adolescent Service, with child exploitation as a priority area, we are committed to disrupting exploitation and making safer communities for young people in Northumberland.
The Exploitation Advanced Practitioner role will sit within our Youth Justice Service and will carry a reduced caseload of complex young people exposed to extra familial harm. The role will support key workers across the county to ensure young people's plan's address issues related to Missing, Slavery, Exploitation and Trafficking.
In the Adolescent Service we care, every day, about the safety, wellbeing and future of young people.
About you:
You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally with direct experience of working with adolescents.
You will always want to hear the young person's voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
You will have excellent communication skills and be able to make decisions and plans with young people and their families.
You will have proven ability to transfer knowledge and skills to colleagues through coaching, mentoring and co-working.
You will be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of children, young people and families.
You will understand the importance of performance information and your contribution to maintaining high standards.
You will not be afraid to think creatively to solve problems.
You will be passionate about maximising a young person's life chances to improve their overall outcomes.
You will be confident in establishing a professional network that promotes learning and practice development for self and others this will include providing critical reflection and challenge to support the development of social workers. However, you are not expected to have direct line management responsibilities.
You will care enough to want to make a difference - every day.

You should hold a relevant Social Work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the HCPC.
