If you have excellent written and communications skills, with a good knowledge of Local Government accounting, experience in using financial systems, together with IT skills, and are customer focused, then we would love to hear from you.

The role of the Accounting Officer will primarily be to support the Finance Business Partners in the preparation of revenue and capital budgets, budget monitoring, year-end accounts for the Council, completion of statutory Government returns, monitoring and accounting for grants, and to provide financial advice and support to service budget holders.

The successful candidate will initially be placed within the team that has the responsibility for the financial functions associated with the Regeneration and Culture Directorate.
