We are looking for 2 enthusiastic solicitors or barristers to join our busy Children’s Social Care Legal Team based to fill the following posts:
i. one permanent post;
ii. one maternity cover post (for a term up to 12 months).
The primary focus of each post is to run a varied caseload of care and placement proceedings but also to provide effective legal advice in respect of fostering, adoption and other general children’s social care matters. You will be expected to undertake a level of advocacy commensurate with your experience.
A working knowledge of care proceedings is necessary. Experience of working in a local authority would be advantageous; however, lawyers from private practice will also be considered as you would be working as part of an experienced and supportive team.
