You will be supported by our friendly experienced team primarily based in our main office at Morpeth County Hall.

The Role:
The Improvement & Innovation directorate works at the heart of the Council, driving change organisation-wide, to deliver better outcomes and better value for money for residents.

As part of the Improvement & Innovation directorate, the Service Review team is at the forefront of making that change happen. The team acts as a key source of advice for the Executive leadership and Members on service improvement and change.

The Service Review team is small (5 members) but aims to deliver enduring impact, through strong internal partnerships based on support, challenge, trust and honesty.

As Service Review Lead, you will be responsible for co-ordinating the Council’s Service Review Framework and will identify, scope, plan and deliver high profile reviews. You will line manage Service Review Officers effectively to ensure all service reviews in the programme are delivered successfully to completion.

The salary for this permanent post is Band 11 (£48,402 - £51,780), with normal hours of work of 37 per week.

Who are we looking for?

You’ll need to be confident operating in a political environment and managing a diverse range of stakeholders. You’ll be experienced in drawing insights from data to drive evidence-based service development and change. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and collaborate to achieve change.
