An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Service Improvement and Growth Manager for the Building Services Section.

Leading the drive for innovation, use of best practice and identifying market opportunities the Service Improvement and Growth Manager will advise the Building Services Manager and Assistant Director of Housing on all opportunities available for the team to develop, grow and improve the service.

A key responsibility of this role is to develop and manage all stakeholder relationships to positively position the service and to enable future growth and sustainability by securing all existing, new and future work that enables increased productivity and financial growth.

In conjunction with the Building Services Manager you will develop the Service Plan and all associated Improvement Plan’s along with a Performance Management Framework that will drive service productivity, customer service excellence as well as service and financial growth.

Developing proposals for new opportunities for service delivery that supports the wider growth plans, there will be a need to ensure all policy, legislation, commercial and financial aspects of any proposal are considered and supported through to implementation as required.

Responsible for building and sustaining existing relationships with customers the postholder will play a key role in creating positive relationships across the service area and customer base.

Our ultimate aim is to provide a first-class service in all work areas that the team deliver. This this role is pivotal in ensuring we achieve this aim.

You will be educated to HNC/D level as a minimum and/or be working towards your degree and have experience of working in a similar role. The proposed hours of the role are 37 hours per week across 5 days Monday to Friday.
