The Governors of Toner Avenue Primary School are seeking to appoint an exceptional and committed Head teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with the resilience, vision and inspiration to accelerate our journey of improvement. Toner Avenue is a vibrant and popular school at the heart of our community. The school moved into a new purpose-built building in September 2019.

The ideal candidate will:
• Inspire, enthuse, motivate and challenge staff and pupils to raise achievement at all levels.
• Have a strong track record in raising standards across the primary phase.
• Have experience in a senior leadership role and be able to undertake ambitious challenges and projects to further strengthen and improve the school.
• Demonstrate success in implementing an ambitious curriculum, which enables all pupils to be successful and achieve well.
• Have proven ability in building a strong and cohesive team of staff.
• Think and act strategically, whilst having a clear vision for continued success.
• Work closely and effectively with the school’s Governing Board to secure the best outcomes for all pupils.
• Be committed to further developing and building on existing partnerships with parents, families and the wider community.
• Encourage and enable the development of staff through high expectations, empowerment and support.
