The Adults & Communities Directorate consists of fourthree strands, Adult Social Care, Community Development, and Public Health and Environment. As part of this new exciting opportunity we are looking to recruit enthusiastic, flexible and committed individuals to deliver environmental enhancements and to be part of the Neighbourhood Streetscene Action Teams.
Typical duties will include:
Street Cleansing , Litter Picking, Open Space Grounds Maintenance, removal of graffiti, dog fouling, litter, fly tipping, collection of domestic and trade waste and bulk waste streams and assisting in community events / activities. Operation of a variety of vehicles including Vans, Pick –Ups, Refuse Collection Vehicles and Mechanical Sweepers up to 7.5tonnes.
The role has a requirement for the successful applicant to work 5 days over 7 including Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, working 7.30 hours per day to deliver the services.
