The Waste and Street Scene division of Hambleton District Council are looking to appoint several Waste Operatives.

The main duties include refuse/recycling collection usually part of a team of 3, street sweeping (Manual on Foot), litter picking, emptying dog & litter bins and the recovery of fly tipping. You may also be required to do some driving and general work around the depot which will include the occasional collection of dead animals.

The work is physically demanding and includes a large amount of walking and Manual Handling.

All applicants must have numeracy and literacy skills and a current driving license is desirable. An LGV Cat C license would be an advantage.

The hours of work are between 06.00 and 18.00 at locations within the Hambleton District.
