An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and highly skilled individual to come and work in the Middlesbrough Affective Disorders Social Work Team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified Social Worker who can effectively manage a complex caseload of clients with severe and enduring mental health needs whilst assessing the social care needs of individuals to deliver comprehensive care plans to meet specific needs
We will offer clear professional leadership and great opportunities to develop your career. You will be responsible for your own personal training in order to maintain up-to-date knowledge of mental health issues.
If the successful applicant is an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) they will be expected to work on the AMHP rota (to qualify for the market supplement).
To join us, you should have a Professional Qualification in Social Work and be registered with Social Work England: Post-qualifying experience should include direct work with those who have mental health needs. In addition to this, you should have a working knowledge of relevant legislation, assessments, preparation of care plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes. We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Social Workers and offer support through the Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE).
You will provide a Social Work service to adults and their carers within the Affective Disorders Team as directed by the Assistant Team Manager and Mental Health Lead Officer.
