This is an exciting new role, funded through the Green Recovery Challenge Fund, created to support the Council’s commitment to increasing tree and woodland cover.
As part of a dynamic, newly formed team you will be responsible for the development, and community input to a substantial tree planting project throughout the borough.
The successful candidate will facilitate community participation in all aspects of the project, including planning and delivery of new tree planting, land identification and a programme of aftercare management. You will also be responsible for events and educational activities.
We are looking for a hardworking individual who is passionate and shows commitment to the natural environment, in particular trees and woodlands. You will be an exceptional communicator who has an ability to inspire others.
This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
Please note that this post is a fixed term role for 18 months. In addition to this the postholder will be expected to drive council vehicles so will require a full driving license.
