Set in a carefully chosen semi-rural location, this home provides excellent accommodation for four children/young people with SEMH allowing for a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment, where children and young people displaced from families can be supported to independence. The process is supported by a clinical team.

Job Title: Residential Child Care Officer (RCCO)

Post: Bank staff

Pay scale: £10.40 - £10.90 p/h

The starting salary is £10.40 with an incremental rise to £10.90 following successful probationary period (6 months). Sleep in shifts are payable in addition to salary.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing day to day care for children and young people, whether this is supporting them in activities or statutory meetings relating to their time in residential care. You will work as part of a dedicated, caring team to ensure the home is kept to a good standard, to include cooking and cleaning and of course safeguarding their welfare at all times.

We are looking for experienced people who have a passion for working with young people and Children and who really want to make a difference to their lives. Ideally candidates will have NVQ / Diploma Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent and at least one year’s experience working in residential children's home with young people with SEMH. You will have good written, verbal communication and IT skills.

Please be aware that you must be over 21 years of age to apply for this role. There is a requirement to work shifts, including sleeping and waking nights. (These roles are exempt from the Employment Equality (Age) Regulation 2006.
