An opportunity has arisen within Sunderland City Council for the role of Maintenance Operative (Joiner) for the Building Services Section.
The role will involve working in domestic and commercial buildings carrying out a range of joinery activities delivering capital refurbishment, repairs and maintenance work to commercial and domestic properties.
Working alongside colleagues within the Building Services Team you will ensure that work is delivered to a high standard and meet our quality and performance expectations.
The post holder will be working as part of our repairs and maintenance department carrying out a variety of tasks to support business needs whilst being able to undertake joinery activities both internally and externally ensuring all work is delivered to a high standard, providing an excellent customer service and ensuring all work is delivered on time and within budget.
Moving forward our focus is on improving, developing and growing the service to ensure we are providing a sustainable service to all customers. This role plays a key part in driving this ambition forward.
To succeed in this role applicants must have a relevant trade qualification and experience of working within a busy operational repairs and maintenance department.
A full driving license will be required to carry out this role and a works vehicle will be allocated to all successful candidates upon appointment.
