Sunderland Care and Support are a provider of high-quality care to the community of Sunderland, who are passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking to recruit waking night workers into our Supported Living Services who are able to encourage a workplace culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support.

Supported Living Services
Our Supported Living Services are designed to encourage customers to participate within their local community, develop a wide range of skills and maintain a tenancy within the city of Sunderland. Customers within our Supported Living Services have a diverse range of care needs and require a wide range of support.

As a Waking Nights worker, your role will be to provide care and support to customers throughout the night in accordance to standards and legislation. In addition, you will contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that are designed to provide meaningful choice and support to those in need of care, so they can access services to help them lead the life they want.
We are looking for waking night workers who will have the ability to be work unsupervised, be proactive in their approach and be confident in their ability to use own initiative. Successful candidates will be supported in their role via induction, probation, supervision and appraisal as well as working jointly with other professionals to ensure customers receive support which is designed to meet their own personal need.

Waking Night workers will also be able to demonstrate decision making abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills which are required within this role.
