Education Partnership North East (EPNE) is a dynamic partnership between Sunderland College, Hartlepool Sixth Form and Northumberland College. It is one of the largest college groups in the country with campuses across the North East region from Berwick-upon-Tweed to the Tees Valley. It has a combined student community of over 21,500.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Advisor to join our well established and successful Business Development Team. The Business Advisor Team are an integral part of the Business Development Team, responsible for all small to medium size business engagement and all Apprenticeship recruitment. As a Business Advisor you will report directly to the groups Senior Business Advisor and will allocated a sector and targets aligned to your role.
The purpose of the role within the College Group Business Development function is to drive sales and generate Apprenticeships, other funded and commercial income and secure work experience and industry placement opportunities with employers in line with the agreed annual targets. The post-holder will conduct targeted telesales campaigns, manage the high volume of Apprenticeship enquiries particularly from SMEs through to conversion, support with enrolment and College open events, support with the creation of employer forums and source prospective Apprentices.
The successful applicant will have customer service and stakeholder engagement experience and ideally have previous experience in a similar role within Further Education or recruitment. It is essential to hold good customer service skills, Administration skills and be computer literate. Full training will be provided and the opportunity to gain experience of working across sectors, developing long lasting business relationships, recruitment of Apprenticeships and will liaise across all internal College departments. The role involves offering support and leading in some aspects of Apprenticeship recruitment: advertising positions, checking applicant eligibility, interviewing applicants, liaising with employers regarding applicants, arranging and facilitating initial assessments, liaising with the Apprenticeship delivery team regarding applicant suitability.
