Xentrall Shared Services is a ground breaking public/public partnership between Stockton and Darlington Borough Councils. Our objective is to deliver excellent services to all, providing support and services to a range of customers including Local Councils, Schools and Academies, and Direct Payment Clients.

The service has just undergone a major restructure and the team comprises of Payroll, Pensions, HR and Recruitment and Customer Engagement and System Support.

This is one of the new posts to the structure and will be based within the Pensions Team. We administer multiple pensions schemes including Teachers, Local Government and NHS pension schemes. In addition, we also manage the deductions and processing of Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) and deal with Auto Enrolment legislation for our many customers.

The main duties of this role will be administration of starters and leavers notifications, processing any changes that affect pension contributions, monthly reconciling of pension payments, producing and checking monthly reports and auto enrolment processing all of which must be carried out in accordance with strict legislative guidelines and working to monthly and annual deadlines.

To help us in our new structure we are looking for someone who has experience of dealing with pensions in a local government environment. You will also need to be computer literate especially being able to demonstrate skills in the use of Excel and Word, and have the ability to work to multiple deadlines with a very high level of accuracy.

We currently provide payroll services to over 130 different payrolls and over 17,500 employees so you will also need to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and promote our service positively, this will require you to be a good communicator.

We offer an excellent total reward package including a competitive salary, generous Pension Scheme and annual leave entitlement as well as access to a number of additional employee benefits and a wide range of learning and development opportunities.

This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 40% of their working time away from the office.
