The Head Teacher and Governors of Washingwell Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work across school supporting children with SEND. The position is a fixed term contract until the 31 August 2022.

We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:
has an outstanding record of working well within a team demonstrating a positive attitude, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.
has experience of working with children in a primary school setting, specifically with children with SEND
holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant / NVQ Qualification as a minimum essential requirement.

The successful candidate would be expected to:
provide support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the whole school
establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
contribute to the planning, preparation and resources of learning activities
have a full working knowledge and experience of the Early Years and National Curriculum
display excellent communication skills
