Together for Children delivers children’s services on behalf of Sunderland City Council and works to develop modern and responsive services that make a difference for children and families in Sunderland.

We are looking for a creative, highly organised and dynamic professional to support the delivery of a high quality communications, media and events service in Together for Children.

The role will support the promotion of the company through engagement with key stakeholders, including children and young people, our staff and professionals from partner organisations, through a range of internal and external channels. This role will support the delivery of professional internal and external communications and media activity that promotes the successes of the company, publicises the services offered and manages the company’s reputation.

The successful candidate will work with managers and staff across the company to plan and deliver individual directorate communications action plans. This will include the marketing and delivery of internal and external events, both locally and across the region.

You will need to demonstrate proven experience in communications and media, and ideally be equipped with strong graphic design skills and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud programmes and/or Canva. You will have an excellent eye for detail and be able to demonstrate proven ability to relate to people from all walks of life. You will be highly organised, driven and enthusiastic, and will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
