Fixed Term Contract for 1 Year

Applications are invited from suitably qualified, engaging and experienced people to join the dedicated staff team of Park View School. The ideal candidates will have an awareness of and be sensitive to the challenges facing children with SEMH behaviours and to promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.

You will be able to demonstrate in your application that you have the ability to have a positive impact on the lives of young people at PVS.

The primary focus of the post will be to work under the professional direction of the Assistant Head (non-teaching) as part of the Pathways Team to support learning activities of Key Stage 4 pupils, from a variety of schools in the borough, who have been or are at risk of being permanently excluded. Within an agreed system of supervision, the TA would support the delivery of nationally recognised courses/subjects set by or with Teachers. The TA would also support students 1:1 or in small groups in a range of settings. The post holder will be expected to progress students’ learning and to assess, record and report on attendance, progress and attainment as agreed with line manager. If suitable, the successful candidate would be supported to attain HLTA status as part of an ongoing programme of professional development.
